Dates have been set for the next PSA. We will shoot two dates: March 21st and March 27th in order to accommodate what we want to do wit the script. We are honored to be able to work with Crisis Center North who work with women who are being abused. They not only help women, but also men, children and the disabled who are being abused. They provide counseling, referrals, advice and work diligently to assist people who are in dire need of services at a time in their life when they are the most vulnerable. We commend them for what they do. Details will be distributed to crew only. If you would like to participate - as there are still positions open, please send your resume and/or reel to info@wifmpit.com or Women In Film and Media, 1739 E. Carson Street, #399, Pittsburgh, PA. 15203 This is how it works: Each year, the Public
Service Announcement (PSA) Program produces a PSA for a non-profit organization
that supports women and/or children at little cost to the non-profit. Funds are
needed to assist with this program. If you would like to donate monies for this program, please contact Faith Dickinson at 412-973-9799 or see our membership form. We are now in the process of developing a script and production schedule for Crisis Center North. If you would like to volunteer for this project, please email Kathy Smith via Women In Film and Media. info@wifmpit.com. Please put "PSA Volunteer" in the subject line. What is the PSA Program? Each year, the Public Service Announcement (PSA) Program produces a PSA for a non-profit organization that supports women and/or children. Can I volunteer for the PSA Program? We are always looking
for new volunteers, and you are welcome to join us at our monthly meetings. Contact Faith Dickinson at Info@wifmpit.com if you are interested in volunteering for the program. If you are interested in getting on the PSA crew, you will need to come to one of the meetings. If you would like to participate, send your headshot/resume or tech resume via email to info@wifmpit.com or mail to: 1739 E. Carson Street, #399, Pittsburgh, PA. 15203.
Will we be paid? All WIFM PSA’s
are produced by Women In Film and Media members. A fundamental principle of the
program is that everyone who works on the PSA’s donates their time, talent and
services. No one gets paid in dollars – only in good feelings and great experiences! |
